GEOHAN SECURES RM103 MILLION SUBCONTRACTS FOR NEW PANTAI EXPRESSWAY EXTENSION

Geohan Corp Bhd, a foundation and geotechnical services provider, has secured two letters of awards with a combined value of RM103 million for works on the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) extension project. Both jobs were awarded by the turnkey operator for the project, IJM Construction Sdn Bhd, to its wholly owned unit Geohan Sdn Bhd. The first job is hand-dug caisson piling with comprehensive pile testing worth RM27.4 million. The second job is bored piling and reverse circulation drilling worth RM75.6 million. Both jobs are expected to be completed within 19 months.

 


 

TA GLOBAL OPENS DAMANSARA AVENUE LINK BRIDGE

TA Global Bhd has officially opened the Damansara Avenue Link Bridge, a 320-metre elevated pedestrian walkway connecting its Damansara Avenue development to the Sri Damansara Sentral MRT station. The link bridge is part of TA Global’s efforts to enhance connectivity within the 48-acre Damansara Avenue masterplan and position it as an integrated, transit-oriented development. The bridge will eventually connect to DA Central Mall, which is slated for completion in 2028. The mall will be located directly under Amaya Residences and forms part of Ativo Annexe.

 


 

GOVT TO EXPLORE PRIVATISATION OF TWO HIGHWAY PROJECTS INCLUDING WCE BANTING-GELANG PATAH

The government plans to explore two major highway projects under a privatisation model a proposed 303.5km southern link of the West Coast Expressway (WCE) from Banting, Selangor to Gelang Patah, Johor, and a 118.7km road linking Simpang Pelangai in Pahang to Putrajaya. The move is aimed at optimising cost management and enhancing the country’s fiscal efficiency. The Banting-Gelang Patah alignment was previously announced under Budget 2025 as a roughly 230km project, which is slated for implementation via a public-private partnership (PPP).  The current 233km alignment of the WCE, connecting Banting to Taiping, Perak, is being developed by WCE Holdings Bhd, 28%-owned by IJM Corporation Bhd. The proposed Simpang Pelangai-Putrajaya Road, announced in 2024, is currently at the feasibility study stage under the Ministry of Works, with no contractor appointed to date.

 


 

Y&G TRIGGERS ANOTHER EXTENSION FOR 548-ACRE SEPANG-KUALA SELANGOR LAND BUY

Y&G Corp Bhd has extended the completion period for its proposed acquisition of land in Sepang. On behalf of the board, M&A Securities said the parties Nusa Wibawa Sdn Bhd and Nurani Saujana Sdn Bhd have mutually agreed to extend the completion period under the sale and purchase agreement (SPA 1) by an additional three months, from the original timeline to 6th July 2026.  The extension relates specifically to the Sepang land acquisition, which forms part of a broader series of related party transactions previously announced by the group. All other terms of the agreement remain unchanged. The 367 acres land in Ujong Permatang, Kuala Selangor are part of the lands to be acquired. The proposed acquisitions were first announced in August 2025, when the group unveiled plans to acquire a total landbank of approximately 548.4 acres for RM477 million from parties linked to its major shareholder and managing director. The exercise includes multiple parcels in Sepang and Kuala Selangor, as well as the acquisition of a company holding additional Sepang land and is aimed at strengthening the group’s development pipeline.

 


 

MUI PROPERTIES SECURES RM80.8 MILLION CASH IN BANDAR SPRINGHILL LAND DISPOSAL

MUI Properties Bhd has completed the disposal of approximately 53 acres of land in Bandar Springhill, Port Dickson, for a total cash consideration of RM80.8 million, marking the conclusion of a transaction first announced in July 2024. The company’s subsidiary, West Synergy Sdn Bhd, finalised the sale in accordance with the terms of the sale and purchase agreement. The land parcel, held under Geran 159976 Lot 8322 in Mukim Jimah, Negeri Sembilan, was sold to Antmed Malaysia Sdn Bhd. The disposed land forms part of the Bandar Springhill township in Port Dickson, a mixed-development area positioned within Negeri Sembilan’s coastal growth corridor. 

 


 

I-BHD STRENGTHENS INSTITUTIONAL PRESENCE AT I-CITY WITH PARTICIPATION FROM ALRAJHI BANK MALAYSIA

S P Setia Bhd has previewed Erica, a leasehold double-storey terraced home development in Taman Setia Tropika, Sepang. The project, which spans 11.34 acres adjacent to the Setia Warisan Tropika resort township, carries an estimated gross development value of RM93.59 million. Erica comprises 162 units of double-storey terraced homes with land sizes of 20ft by 60ft. The units feature built ups ranging from 1,405 to 1,445 sq. ft. and are priced from RM559,000.

CHIN HIN PROPERTY TOPS OUT SOLARVEST SUITES IN BANGSAR SOUTH

Chin Hin Group Property Bhd has celebrated the topping out of Solarvest Suites, a 34-storey premium office and lifestyle development in Bangsar South. The project, which has a gross development value (GDV) of RM235 million, has already achieved a 90% sales rate. The development is located 300 metres from the Universiti LRT station and a future MRT station and includes a direct link bridge to KL Gateway Mall. Environmentally conscious features of the building include water-efficient fittings and electric vehicle (EV) charging provisions.

 


 

KLK LAND’S FIRST RETAIL MALL ACHIEVES 85% OCCUPANCY AHEAD OF 20TH AUGUST 2026 OPENING

KLK Land Sdn Bhd (KLK Land), the property development arm of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd, is progressing towards the official opening of its first retail development, Coalfields Retail Park, on 20th August 2026. The development enters its final phase towards opening, following the issuance of its Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) obtained on 12th March 2026. The 21-acre hybrid indoor-outdoor lakeside lifestyle destination located in Bandar Seri Coalfields has secured approximately 85% occupancy ahead of its launch. Spanning a gross built-up area of approximately one million sq. ft., the 2 ½-storey development is directly connected to a seven-acre lake park. Confirmed anchor and key tenants include Village Grocer, Harborland, Serai Seafood Restaurant, Blue Ice Skating Rink, Skechers, Decathlon, KKV, Pickle Park, Panda Eyes, Harvey Norman and Maybank. The tenant line-up also includes McDonald’s, Kanteen, The Social, Canton Boy, La Pane Pizza, Andra by Gula Cakery, Hock Kee Kopitiam, Baskin Robbins, and Fish & Co. Other retail brands slated to open at the park include Daisy by Voir, Bata, Hooga, Tomei and Big Pharmacy.

 


 

HELIOS PLANS RM5.5 BILLION MEGA PROJECT

Little-known Malaysian firm Helios Photovoltaic Sdn Bhd plans to develop a RM5.5 billion project in Kelantan. Helios plans to build a solar park as well as a wildlife safari conservation and resort project on 3,000 acres land in northern Kelantan. The solar park will feature a 1,000-megawatt-peak solar photovoltaic plant paired with a 1,600-megawatt-hour battery energy storage system. The project is being developed under the government's Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme. It is designed as a scalable platform that integrates renewable energy generation with opportunities for investment participation.

 


 

EPF’S KWASA LAND AND PARKCITY GROUP TO DELIVER 9,000 RESIDENTIAL UNITS IN PJ EAST

Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd (KLSB) is partnering with ParkCity Group to develop more than 9,000 residential units in the Kwasa Damansara township. The project will be undertaken by ParkCity Damansara Sdn Bhd, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of ParkCity Group. KLSB, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), is the master developer of the township. The collaboration involves the development of more than 400 acres of land located at the southeastern corner of Kwasa Damansara, an area currently known as PJ East. The project will deliver a mix of landed homes and condominiums. PJ East is located near the Subang SkyPark terminal, MRT stations, healthcare facilities, and schools, and is adjacent to Tropicana and Kota Damansara. 

 


 

INTA BINA SECURES RM32 MILLION CONSTRUCTION JOB IN SHAH ALAM

Inta Bina Group Bhd has won a RM32.41 million construction job at the Eco Ardence township, Setia Alam, Shah Alam. The development will comprise two distinct blocks. Block 1, a 2-storey structure, will house 22 low-cost shop units and a multipurpose hall. Block 2, rising to 5 storeys, will deliver 14 ground-floor retail units, three levels of office space across Levels 1 to 3, and a dedicated hall at Level 4. Eco Ardence is a 533-acre mixed development undertaken jointly by Eco World Development Group Bhd and another property developer, Cascara Sdn Bhd. The construction is scheduled to commence on 15th April 2026, with completion targeted for 15th October 2027.

 


 

PTT SYNERGY LANDS TWO CONSTRUCTION-RELATED CONTRACTS FROM SIME DARBY PROPERTY

PTT Synergy Group Bhd has secured two contracts from Sime Darby Property Bhd one for construction works and another for smart warehouse systems. Its wholly owned unit, Pembinaan Tetap Teguh Sdn Bhd, won a RM31.68 million contract from Sime Darby Property for earthworks and ancillary works at Phase 5A (R17) of Bandar Bukit Raja, developed by Sime Darby Property (Bukit Raja) Sdn Bhd. Works are slated to begin on 17th April 2026, with overall completion targeted for 16th October 2027.  

Separately, PTT Synergy’s 70%-owned subsidiary, PTT Robotics Sdn Bhd (PTTR), signed an agreement with Sime Darby Property (Elmina East Asset II) Sdn Bhd and Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd to provide a warehouse automation system. The scope includes the design, supply, construction and installation of an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) in a smart warehouse built by Sime Darby Property to be leased to Mydin. Under the agreement, PTTR will lease the ASRS to Mydin at RM900,000 per month, subject to escalation every three years, over a 15‑year term. PTTR will also provide repair, support and maintenance services for the system.

 


 

PERDA HALAL PARK EXPANDS WITH 10-ACRE PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT

The Penang Regional Development Authority (Perda) has launched the Phase 2 development of the Perda Halal Park in Tasek Gelugor. The new phase involves the development of additional factory units and infrastructure designed to enhance operational efficiency and support the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the northern region. The park has been a HALMAS-certified halal industrial park since 2011. Phase 1 of the hub currently hosts more than 20 SMEs and has achieved an 83% occupancy rate with a total investment value of RM90.66 million.

 


 

KERJAYA PROSPEK UNIT SECURES RM98.79 MILLION JOB TO BUILD PRIVATE HOSPITAL IN SEREMBAN

Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd’s subsidiary has received a letter of award (LOA) worth RM98.79 million from Sena Letrik (M) Sdn Bhd to construct a private hospital in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The LOA was awarded to its wholly owned unit Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd and consists of works for an eight-storey building and a basement level with facilities.Under the 18-month contract, Kerjaya Prospek (M) will be responsible for building as well mechanical, electrical, and external works of the complex.

 


 

SILVER RIDGE WINS RM2.7 MILLION RENOVATION JOB

Silver Ridge Holdings Bhd has accepted a letter of award from Sunway Iskandar Sdn Bhd for renovation works to an office building and apartment complex in Johor Baru, Johor, totalling RM2.66 million. The renovation works will be divided into two phases. The first phase commenced on 1st April 2026 and will be completed on 30th June 2026. The second phase will be set out in a notice of commencement and completed within three months of issuance.

 


 

JLAND PART­NERS ECO­WORLD FOR MALAY­SIA, AUS­TRALIA PROJECTS

JLand Group (JLG) and Eco World Devel­op­ment Group Bhd (Eco­World), through its wholly owned sub­si­di­ary, have entered into three sub­scrip­tion and share­hold­ers’ agree­ments (SSAs) to jointly under­take devel­op­ments in Malay­sia and Aus­tralia. The agree­ments estab­lish a joint plat­form spanning three dis­tinct but com­ple­ment­ary devel­op­ments – res­id­en­tial apart­ments on about 2,751 sqm of land in Macquarie Park, Sydney, Aus­tralia (Macquarie devel­op­ment); mixed res­id­en­tial and com­mer­cial devel­op­ment on about 8.44 acres of land in Johor Bahru, Johor (Lar­kin devel­op­ment); and indus­trial park within IBTEC South on about 316.15 acres of land in Kulai, Johor (IBTEC devel­op­ment). These three devel­op­ments will be under­taken on a 50:50 joint ven­ture basis.

The Macquarie devel­op­ment includes the acquis­i­tion of the entity hold­ing the site at 1–3 Lach­lan Avenue, Macquarie Park, New South Wales where the project has devel­op­ment approval for a 16-storey res­id­en­tial apart­ment build­ing com­pris­ing 123 units, with an estim­ated GDV of approx­im­ately A$153 mil­lion (RM421 mil­lion), and is expec­ted to be launched in 4Q26. The Lar­kin devel­op­ment will com­prise ser­viced apart­ments with retail and hotel com­pon­ents on approx­im­ately 8.44 acres of freehold com­mer­cial land in Johor Bahru. The project car­ries an estim­ated GDV of RM1.02 bil­lion and is expected to be launched in 4Q26. The IBTEC devel­op­ment will cover approx­im­ately 316 acres within IBTEC South and is expected to be launched in 1Q28, with an estim­ated GDV of RM1.01 bil­lion. Infra­struc­ture works are expected to com­mence in 2Q26.

 


 

TOPMIX TO SELL SENAI PROPERTY FOR RM1.85 MILLION

Topmix Bhd is disposing of a piece of industrial land and a semi-detached factory in Senai, Johor for RM1.85 million in cash to PMI Packaging Sdn Bhd. Topmix Resources Sdn Bhd, has entered into a sale and purchase agreement for the property, which sits on about 2.45 acres of freehold land. 

 


 

CRESCENDO CORP SELLS JOHOR LAND TO DATA CENTRE DEVELOPER FOR RM346.5 MILLION

Crescendo Corporation Bhd is selling its vacant industrial freehold land that spans 49.72 acres in Kota Tinggi, Johor to Digital Edge Data Centers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for RM346.53 million cash. The group’s wholly owned unit Crescendo Development Sdn Bhd has entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Digital Edge. Digital Edge, based in Damansara, is primarily involved in data centres, IT, cloud, network infrastructure and related activities. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore’s Digital Edge (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

 


 

SUNWAY, EQUALBASE OPEN 103° FREE COMMERCIAL ZONE IN JOHOR AS OPERATIONS COMMENCE

Sunway Group and Equalbase have officially opened 103°, a 136 acres free commercial zone (FCZ) in Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, Johor with its first two warehouses spanning 1.5 million sq. ft. completed and fully leased to international operators. 103° is the first sustainable FCZ established within the JS-SEZ and the first development in the area to secure fast-track approval from Malaysian authorities under the Johor Super Lane framework. This development supports the next stage of Malaysia’s industrial evolution by creating high-value job opportunities and supporting the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030. A third warehouse of 750,000 sq. ft. under phase one is targeted for completion in early 2027, while another one million sq. ft. is scheduled for completion in early 2028. The broader FCZ masterplan will eventually provide more than six million sq. ft. of integrated industrial real estate across four phases.

 


 

PENANG AGENCIES SET FOR SILICON ISLAND, LRT DEPOT LAND HANDOVER IN MAY 2026

The Penang government has begun planning to relocate several agencies to Silicon Island, in line with the project’s physical progress.  Approximately 69-acre site designated for the Mutiara Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) depot is also nearing completion and is expected to be handed over to Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation (MRT Corp) in May 2026. To date, 330 acres out of the 1,279 acres target for the first phase has been reclaimed. The handover of the LRT depot landmarks a key milestone, allowing the start of physical development on Silicon Island. Meanwhile, the Penang Development Corporation has been appointed to assist in the planning of the island’s architectural design and land use, including the development of a new state administrative centre. The proposed administrative centre will be modest in scale, with only 7 acres allocated, and is likely to involve the relocation of selected agencies, while existing offices at the Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak (Komtar) will remain in use. Regarding the proposal to relocate the state legislative assembly to Silicon Island, the land is expected to be ready by 2028, with physical development to begin only after that. Beyond the administrative centre, he added that industrial plots on the island will be released in phases to investors, further supported by incentives from the Ministry of Finance.
