In 2018, Capitaland Malaysia Mall Trust (CMMT) has budgeted approximately RM80 million to enhance four of its five shopping malls in Malaysia. Approximately RM54.5 million of the RM80 million will be used to redevelop five retail floors of the annex block of “Sungei Wang Plaza” along Jalan Bukit Bintang. The “Sungei Wang Plaza” asset enhancement initiative includes facade upgrades and interior design, retail space reconfiguration and accessibility improvements. The five-storey annex block, which will be rebranded as “Jumpa”, will have an approximate net lettable area of 197,000 sq. ft. upon completion in 2019.
