Klang Municipal Council (MPK) is in discussions with the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) to construct a maritime museum. MPK’s preliminary plan was to refurbish the life-sized replica of the Malay Archipelago ship at the Tanjung Harapan Esplanade. It will then be handed over to the MMEA for the creation of a museum within the ship. The proposed idea would provide the public with an insight into the MMEA’s role of maintaining order and coordinating search-and-rescue operations on high seas.
